Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Workspace6 Overwatch Inc. ("Workspace6," "we," "us," or "our") runs a private, application-based community for eCommerce founders, operators, and investors. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website, apply for membership, pay for a membership, join our community, or subscribe to our newsletter. It also explains how we use and share that information and the choices you have.

Please read it alongside our Terms of Service. Questions can be sent through our contact form.

2. Information We Collect

Application information. When you apply to join, we collect:

  • Your name, email address, and role (for example, brand founder, agency operator, tech founder, or investor).
  • Company details: company name, website, your role in the company, and revenue.
  • Role-specific business details, which may include growth rate, team size, number of active clients, services offered, funding status, fundraising plans, investment focus, typical check size, and brands you have invested in.
  • Your LinkedIn and X (Twitter) profiles, if provided.
  • Your answers about why you want to join, your biggest challenges, how you heard about us, who referred you, and any discount code you used.

Payment information. Membership payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your email, payment status, and limited billing details such as the last four digits of your card. We do not receive or store your full card number.

Community information. When you participate in the community, we collect your profile, posts, comments, messages, files, and attendance at any events. We do not record calls or events.

Newsletter information. If you subscribe, we collect your email address and information about how you interact with our emails, such as opens and clicks.

Device and usage information. When you visit our website, we automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, time zone, pages viewed, and how you arrived at our site. We collect this using cookies, log files, and similar technologies.

Information from others. Members may refer you or mention you. We may also review public information, such as your company website or LinkedIn profile, to evaluate your application.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Review your application and decide whether you are a fit for the community.
  • Process membership payments, renewals, and discount codes.
  • Run the community, including introductions, events, and member directories.
  • Send you service messages, such as application updates, receipts, and account notices.
  • Send our newsletter and community updates, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.
  • Understand how our website is used and improve it.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information, such as the share of members in each revenue range, to describe our community. This information does not identify you or your company.

Legal bases (for visitors in the EU, UK, and similar regions). We rely on these legal bases: performing our contract with you (reviewing your application and providing your membership); our legitimate interests in running, securing, and improving the community and in sending our newsletter to applicants and members, which we balance against your rights; your consent (for non-essential cookies such as Microsoft Clarity, and for the newsletter when you sign up through our website), which you can withdraw at any time; and complying with legal obligations (such as keeping tax records).

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never give your application or business details to advertisers or marketing partners. We do use advertising pixels on our website, which some state laws treat as "sharing" (see Sections 6 and 10).

We share information only in the following ways.

Service providers. We use trusted vendors who process information on our behalf and only as we instruct:

ProviderPurpose
StripeMembership payments and billing
AirtableStoring and reviewing applications and member records
BeehiivSending our newsletter and member communications
SupabaseWebsite database and backend hosting, including applications and contact requests
LovableWebsite hosting
Slack and CircleHosting community discussions
Microsoft ClarityWebsite analytics, heatmaps, and session recordings
Google WorkspaceEmail and internal documents
RewardfulTracking referrals from our affiliate partners

We may also use other service providers, such as automation and file-storage tools, to run our business. They process information only on our behalf and under the same limits.

AI tools. We use AI tools to help run the community, including Claude (by Anthropic) and Six AI, our AI assistant in Slack. Six AI can read messages in the Slack channels it has been added to, so it can answer member questions, point to resources, and summarize discussions. Six AI does not read private direct messages. Six AI is powered by Circle and Slack. Information may be processed by these providers to deliver those features. Our agreements with these providers do not allow them to use your information to train their AI models. Membership decisions are made by our team, not by AI.

Other members. Your profile and anything you post in the community are visible to other members. Our Terms of Service require members to keep what others share confidential. Slack and Circle also collect information under their own privacy policies when you use their apps.

Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information to comply with a law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Workspace6, our members, or others.

Business transfers. If Workspace6 is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that deal. We will tell you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

With your consent. We may share information in other ways when you ask us to, such as introducing you to another member.

5. Marketing Emails

When you apply for membership, we add you to our newsletter and community updates, and we tell you this on the application form. If you sign up through the newsletter form on our website, you will receive the newsletter as well. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us. We will still send service messages about your application or membership.

6. Cookies and Your Choices

We use cookies that are necessary for the website to work. We also use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our site. Clarity uses cookies and similar technologies to capture interactions such as clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement, and to create heatmaps and session recordings. Clarity masks sensitive form fields, and it does not see payment details, which you enter on Stripe's own page. Microsoft processes this data as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement (privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement). Where the law requires consent, such as for visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, we load Clarity only after you agree. For visitors in other regions, including the United States, Clarity is on by default, and you can turn it off at any time through the "Your Privacy Choices" link on our website. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work properly.

We use, or may use, advertising pixels from platforms such as Meta and LinkedIn. These pixels help us measure how our ads perform and show our ads to people who have visited our site. The platforms may combine this with other information they hold about you, under their own privacy policies. Where the law requires consent, such as in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, we load these pixels only after you agree. Elsewhere, they are on by default unless your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, in which case they stay off. You can opt out of this advertising through the "Your Privacy Choices" link on our website, and you can limit personalized ads through your ad settings on those platforms.

We also use Rewardful to track referrals from our affiliate partners. If you arrive through an affiliate's link, Rewardful sets a cookie that remembers the referral. If you then apply, the referral is attached to your application and checkout so the affiliate can be credited. Rewardful follows the same choices as the advertising pixels above.

Our website does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. Where required by law, we honor Global Privacy Control signals.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We keep your information for as long as your membership is active and for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes in this policy, such as reviewing a future application, keeping business records, or meeting legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time through our contact form (see Section 10), and we will delete it, except for information we must keep, such as:

  • Payment and billing records that tax and accounting laws require us to keep.
  • Information we need to resolve disputes, enforce our Terms of Service, or comply with the law.

If you unsubscribe from our newsletter, we stop sending it to you right away.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by law.

9. International Transfers and Children

Workspace6 is based in the United States of America, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, for transfers from the EU, UK, or Switzerland.

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete your information.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent at any time.
  • Receive your information in a portable format.
  • Complain to your local data protection authority.

California residents. California law gives you the rights to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. However, our use of advertising pixels may count as "selling" or "sharing" under California law. You can opt out through the "Your Privacy Choices" link on our website, and we treat Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Other US states. Residents of states such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and Oregon have similar rights under their state laws. We honor these requests from everyone, wherever they live. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. If we deny your appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.

To make a request, use our contact form. We will verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the time required by law, generally within one month for requests under EU or UK law and within 45 days for requests under US state laws. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. We will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will notify members by email or through the community before they take effect.
